We are a group of Asian immigrants in the U.S.  To people who grew up in the U.S., discrimination is a common concept, and almost everyone is educated from very young age to recognize discrimination, to reflect and be sensitive on actions or words that may be perceived to be discriminating, and to fight back when he or she is discriminated. 

 

To many people coming from foreign countries of  homogeneous population without the benefits of the education or culture surround discrimination, it sometimes can be difficult to identify, recognize or react to it properly. This issue became quite evident during the COVID-19 outbreak.

We decided to build this website to allow our community members voice their opinions on this issue, and to help them to understand and be more prepared to combat the growing tide of animosity against Asian population  in the U.S. society.

​我们是一群第一代亚裔移民。对在美国长大的人来说，其实是一个非常普通的概念，每一个人都从小学会如何识别歧视、自我反省并且提高对有可能被视为歧视的行为或语言的敏感度，如果一旦被歧视，积极的进行反击。

对来自单一民族的亚洲国家的新移民来说，没有这样长期的教育的文化背景，有时候非常难以辨识或者应对歧视。这个问题在COVID-19爆发的前提下，变得非常明显。

​我们决定制作这个网站帮助我们的社区成员在这个问题上表达意见，并且帮助他们更好地理解并且应对美国越来越严重的对亚裔人群的敌视情绪。
